Dr. Hans Jürgen Gerhold runs Tierarztpraxis Gerhold, a large and small animal veterinary practice outside of Frankfurt, Germany. He has been running the practice (a family business) since 2000, and has a large dedicated team. On his team are four equine veterinarians who cover the whole range of services, from internal medicine and orthopedics to dentistry and gynecology. Dr. Gerhold himself specializes in internal medicine, gynecology and orthopedics. As an ambulatory equine veterinarian, Dr. Gerhold sees a range of cases and was looking for a solution to improve his ability to monitor patients in the field. He has been a Piavet System user since 2018.

Interview Questions
Why did you choose the Piavet Solution for your practice?
The main reasons why I purchased the Piavet System were to have objective data for pre-purchase exams, to have better monitoring of colic patients in emergency services, and to be able to do pregnancy monitoring.
In which cases do you use the Piavet System most often?
Most applications for which I use the Piavet System are short checkups. When a network is available, the examination is easy and safe to perform.
What’s an example of a case you successfully treated using the Piavet System?
Some of my most successful cases have been monitoring in the context of myocardial inflammation.
What has been the response from your clients?
Customers know and appreciate this kind of monitoring from human medicine. So this results in a very high acceptance of such services.
Would you recommend the Piavet System?
Yes. The [Piavet] System is absolutely solid, safe and easy to use.
